Thank you for sharing this beautiful story. We so desperately need to tout the positive aspects of immigration. My mother helped a young Korean bride of a local serviceman earn her GED back in the 70s. She went on to become a successful hair salon owner. Lovely writing as always. ❤️

Thank you for this beautiful story on my friend Amy. I forgot to mention that my mom’s dad, my grandfather, was an immigrant…maybe that’s the reason she & Amy had such a special connection. Thank you for your big ❤️, Christie!

I have had my nails done by her! Thank you for this story. Reminds us that our land is supposed to be one for opportunities for all, in spite of what is happening now.

I loved this story partly because it's a great story, but partly because Amy's Nails is my salon, too. I heard the story of how you helped Amy study and have admired the photo of you and Amy on that special day many times.

Thank you, Christie, for sharing this love-filled story of a multi-decade relationship. Your gift of education must've been as priceless then as it remains today. And for providing voice when it is most needed.
